Salt & Straw Releases Ice Cream in Honor of Feast at Portland Airport

Salt & Straw releases new flavour in honour of Portland airport

Teaming up with the Port of Portland, iconic local ice cream maker Salt & Straw is releasing a special flavor for Feast: The PDX Rainwater and Spruce Tips ice cream will be available in a pre-packed, single cup at all of Salt & Straw’s Portland locations, as well as at Tender Loving Empire and The Country Cat at the Portland International Airport, from September 13 to 17.

Only like free things? Salt & Straw is giving away samples at its airport pop-up, held at PDX on September 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The ice cream is inspired by the experience of flying into Portland — something that’s changed dramatically since the Eagle Creek fire — but Salt & Straw says recent events won’t change how it tastes:
